An evaluation of my blogging experience 馃憖

My experience using blogs in the English class was great. I had never written blogs before, but I found it very entertaining. Also, reading what my classmates thought and felt was very interesting and I liked it a lot. I felt a little closer to them in spite of the distance. I definitely found it a very innovative learning experience.馃挅馃挅

Thanks to the blogs I think I developed my English writing skills a lot. I think that with this form of teaching I have learned much more than before. Being a  reflective and interactive way of learning, it became easier and less stressful. 馃挰

In the future I would like to include, maybe, instances of discussion and greater interaction between students. 馃懎

Finally, I would like us to write about our interests and hobbies outside of the career we are studying. Things that will allow us to get to know each other better. Our favorite movie or what we most like to do in our free time, among many other things that I think reveal a lot about a person. 馃挮

Hunter-Gatherers: A subject I really have enjoyed studying this year 馃暜馃挆

My favorite subject is "hunter-gatherers"... Why❓ Because it’s a subject about archaeology and the most of my subjects treat about social antrophology. I like it, but not so much: what I really love is the past, the materiality and the symbolims it hides.
The main contents I have seen it's about hunter-gatherer lifestyle. How really was. Their ways of seeing and understanding the world around them, the way they satisfy their needs, the tools they made for it and their history in general, or more precisely, how little we know about it.

In class, the teacher tries to open our eyes馃憖. He show us that the past is not how we learning at the school...❌❌

In the class I always listen very carefully to what the teacher teaches us and I reflect on it a lot馃挱... The readings are very interesting too馃摎 and the atmosphere is very nice馃挒. This is what I like most. The relaxed atmosphere that is generated that allows us to finish the week in the best possible way (this class is on fridays, another reason for I love it).馃コ馃帀

My favorite photograph 馃摳馃挅

This photograph was taken by me馃摳 on November 16th, 2019, the last time I was able to travel on the train that goes from Constituci贸n to Talca: the last "Ramal of Chile".馃殏

This train passes through different stations: old towns located in the rural sector. There live very humble and kind people馃挄, mostly old people, since the youth is going to live in the city.

My mother lived there in her childhood and every year we "escape" there for a few days, just the two of us. It is a moment that I love very much since she tells me about her childhood and shows me very beautiful places. 馃懇馃挅馃懅

The train and the stations are magical for me✨. I feel that it is a portal to the past馃攽. The people, their customs, stories, homes and everything seems as if it has been paused in time. That's why I love this picture: there I am crossing the portal into the past.

My favorite website (related to my career) 馃暜馃挆

The website related to my career (anthropology) that I most enjoy visiting is the National Geographic website ( https://www.nationalgeographic.com.es/ ). 馃捇

This site has different sections such as: "travel", "science", "nature", "current events", "gastronomy", among many other different sections and topics.
馃挅However, the one I enjoy most is the "NG history" section, in which there are sub-sections such as: "current events", "Ancient Egypt", "Ancient Rome", "The Middle Ages", "characters", among others. This section is my favorite because it contains very varied and interesting information, many publications about archaeology which is what I want to specialize in the future and also has a very beautiful aesthetic with very appropriate and novel images. It even has galleries and "tests" for us to know how much we know about a certain topic, which I find very entertaining馃挅.
I visit this website almost always in my free time since I get distracted at the same time that I learn about very different topics, not only related to my career. It is, without a doubt, a website that I recommend to everyone. 馃憖✌馃挒

My favourite piece of technology馃挅.

My favorite piece of technology is pretty easy to guess...馃憖
I got it for my birthday when I was very young馃懚 because I really liked taking pictures of different "things": nature馃寗, my family馃應, friends馃, animals馃悎 and everything I saw around me, but I only had a very old cell phone that took them really badly馃槦.
That's why my parents raised money and gave me this gift馃巵: my favorite technological object in the world since it allows me to capture moments and treasure them for a lifetime馃挅.
I really love using it and I do it whenever I can. It is a faithful companion to all my walks. Without a doubt, if I didn't have it I would feel much more alone, since the memories I treasure accompany me wherever I go馃挆馃挆馃挆馃挆.

Why did I choose to study anthropology?馃摉

When I was a child I dreamed of being a dancer馃拑, model馃拫 or something similar.

But the way I followed when I growing up was very different from what I thought as a child.

At the moment of applying to university I was very confused. I knew that I had to study something related to history and humanities, but I didn't really know that until a few months before PSU my history professor told me to do research on anthropology.

And that's how I finally decided to study anthropology, because this career combines everything that I'm passionate about. Above all, the mention of archaeology, which is the one I want to apply for.

Until now, my experience at the university has been very nice. In spite of the circumstances and still not being able to go live in Santiago or meet my classmates or professors, I do not regret any second of having started studying this.

Finally, I can say that the kind of job I would like to have is something that allows me to get to know many different places and cultures than what we know. And hopefully I can contribute to make them know and respect each other more. 馃挆馃挅
